I don't have a car and haven't for 10 years. We live in the middle of the city in a very dense neighbourhood. We use a car share service and there are three lots within a few blocks of us. There is also a car rental spot two blocks away for when we have a need for a car for the weekend (or are taking a short trip for a few days). None of that is relevant. All of my neighbours have cars and none of them have driveways. There is a school at the end of the block. No one parks in the same spot. Car charging ports take up room that many dense neighbourhoods don't have. We are not a neighbourhood of apartment buildings (with underground parking, say - problem solved!). I believe EVs are the future (and soon!) but the urban problem is one we have to overcome. Serious people need to give this serious thought.
