This is how it’s going to work. I’m going to have thoughts. And then those thoughts will find their way here. So this is a series. Of thoughts. Published randomly. For no reason. Thank you for coming.
God damn but sometimes you just shake your head people are so stupid. The world is awash in dumb and the dumb kills. Is that elitist? Probably. I mean, any opinion is elitist. Of course, I’m stupid, too. Exhibit A:
I mean, who admits this? (At least I’m not killing people, you know?)
And who thinks obviously manipulated photos are real? Enough that we need elitists to set us straight with…facts. We will soon live in a world where nothing will be real, where holograms and video and photography will be fakes. Where bots will write your emails (if they don’t already). Chances are they will also create art and write books (badly for now) and movies. And next thing you know, we’ll have Terminators running about and we’ll be about as useful as the fat humans in Wall-E.
Finally, David Byrne is a treasure. Watch American Utopia (directed by Spike Lee! and currently on HBO) and feel a lot better about things. At least for 2 hours. It’s something to look forward to. Even if you don’t like his music. (Here’s an interview with the two of them if you’re on the fence but if you’re on the fence I can’t help you, honestly.)
David Byrne > David Byrne’s feet
Tom Hanks > Me (except for the Tom Hanks in Bosom Buddies)
