Stupidity is Just An Endless Collection of Tragedies

But I was feeling it and I said it:

It might seem Afghanistan has always been this way, and you might be right, and there are a lot of stupid reactions to what is happening (and of course those reactions are by the very people who got Americans into this mess in the first place), but that land sure has lived up to its reputation as an empire killer. If the Americans check out what happened to the British and the Soviets after their Afghan adventures, they are in for some bad news. And the Taliban, well, they are an amazingly ambitious and evil kind of stupid. They are an aggressively stupid and awful group of men. Backed for stupid reasons by more stupid people. And this will be true…
