Things I Will Do Once I Get My Second Jab. Probably.

A list where want and need combine

Go to a bar. Preferably my local.

Go to a restaurant and sit at the bar and eat and drink and talk shit.

Not talk about the plague.

Not having to hear the phrase “in these challenging times” until the next plague. And hopefully not then either.

Forgetting my mask at home and not running back to retrieve it.

Get an ice cream and share it with the person who looks like they would enjoy a lick of my ice cream because it’s hot out and ice cream cures everything.

Same with the beverage in my hand.

Get on a plane and go to a foreign land. This might have to wait.

Sit in a bar in a foreign land.

Not worrying about my parents. (Not that they’ve given me anything to worry about).

Big hugs to my brother’s kids. Kisses, too.

Hugs on the street. With anyone.

Fall asleep on a couch during a party. At someone’s else’s house. Wake up disoriented.

Eat a meal at someone’s else’s house.

Have people over for more than 5 minutes. Actually saying “come in.”

Concerts. I will even go to concerts of singers/bands I don’t particularly enjoy.

Go out for dim sum and shouting over the magnificent roar of the place.

Not think that every person who looks a little under the weather “has it.”

Remember the clean air during the first wave and hope there’s someone working on restoring it without having to resort to…shutting everything down.

Go to a bar. Any bar. But preferably my local.

Writer. Complainer. I drink bourbon. I have edited media, worked in content and branding and strategy, and chances are I’ll do those things again. @arjunbasu
